Landis Carey makes ceramics, but not in a functional sense. She feels color, which already puts her somewhere slightly outside the usual art-world logic. Her artwork is less about an object you can use, and more about an object that insists on being felt.
What comes out of that shift are these intense, almost otherworldly ceramic wall pieces, built from stoneware and layered glazes. They’re rooted in visions she encounters during meditation—color as sensation, as emotion, as something bodily. The surfaces hold that tension: glossy, dense, alive with light, like they’re trying to translate something you’re not quite equipped to see.

BASTIENNE SCHMIDT
Bastienne Schmidt is a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, painting, large-scale drawing and textiles. Born in Germany and raised in Greece and Italy, she has lived in New York for the past 30 years.
Her practice moves fluidly between mediums, bringing photography, painting, drawing and textile work together within a broader exploration of image and material. She has also published seven monographs over the course of her practice.

REGINA DURANTE JESTROW
Regina Durante Jestrow’s practice explores the reinterpretation of American quilting traditions by investigating textile history and geometric pattern symbolism. She draws inspiration from the vibrant natural landscapes of South Florida, weaving the colors, textures, and structures of the region into her work using a diverse palette of new, second-hand, and hand-dyed textiles. An integral part of her artistic ethos is consciously incorporating thrifted and second-hand clothing and fabrics. By doing so, she aims to reflect Miami's culture and address the pressing issue of textile waste plaguing our society.
Her artistic journey is guided by a profound appreciation for American folk art quilts and a deep admiration for geometric-abstract artists from the mid-to late twentieth century. Visionaries like the Gee's Bend quilters, Elizabeth Murray, Helen Frankenthaler, Rosie Lee Tompkins, and Gego have left an indelible mark on her creative perspective.
Their influences have been powerful motivators, driving her to produce quilts with significant personal symbolism and weaving intricate narratives within their patterns.
