ABOUT TWP
‘It’s about ease and comfort and sophistication’
Trish Wescoat Pound founded TWP to offer her own take on American sportswear: creating effortless, unbound pieces that complement women’s lives. Raised in Oklahoma, although undoubtedly a New Yorker at heart, she blends the utilitarian spirit of the American Midwest with a metropolitan sensibility. Each collection is born from function and shaped by warmth, ease and a ‘lived-in’ approach to design.
Trish’s design approach stems from her search for clothes that speak to all aspects of her life, as a working creative living in New York, a mother and someone who finds renewal in travel and nature. The wardrobe is luxurious, but not precious, it is a reflection of how women want to dress.
After years of experience in the industry, Trish is now working with her daughter Jillian, styling director at TWP. This intergenerational dialogue - of perspective and wisdom- informs the making of each collection.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
“Relaxed and relevant tailoring is at the core of what we create”
TWP is intended to be lived in, collections are defined by how Trish’s experiences unfold in her designs. A night downtown manifests in an embellished skirt; a day spent sketching at the studio shows up in the precision of a banded cuff; packing for global adventures becomes a process of editing and refinement – necessity versus desire.
Fit is intuitive and unrestricted. Trish channels the relaxed nature of menswear tailoring into clothes shaped with ease, intentionally oversized, offering comfort without compromise. Each piece is designed for versatility, allowing multiple expressions through layering and styling - these clothes are intended to be re-imagined between situation and location. Intention and craft reveal themselves in the smallest details—finishes, cuffs, trims, proportions, and subtle embellishments—coming together to build a wardrobe that transcends seasons and is crafted for life.
